Harley
My best friend asked me to be his best man at his destination wedding.

With a demanding and stressful job with NYPD life for me was all work and no play, but a week-long trip to Hawaii to celebrate Jameson's nuptials sounds like the perfect excuse to get away.

Leaving work behind wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, though.

That was until she walked up to me at the bar.

After a night of unbridled passion, I discover...she’s the maid of honor in Jameson’s wedding.

Raylynn
My best friend asked me to be her maid of honor at her destination wedding.

After finding my now ex-fiance in a compromising position, escaping to Hawaii is the perfect excuse to find myself again.

With nothing to lose, I approach the hottest guy in that bar and take a chance on getting my own groove back.

There's just one hiccup...he's actually the best man in Liv's wedding.

It was only supposed to be a fling, but when returning home leads to chaos and one relocation to New York, can these two love birds go from fling to forever? Time will tell.
Afterall...425 Madison is the perfect place to fall in love.

Raylynn gives me a once over then bursts into laughter.
I look down to see what’s so funny and nearly lose it.
Son of a bitch.
There’s a huge white spot on the crotch of my shorts. It doesn’t help that I’m hard as a rock too, because of what she’s wearing.
“I didn’t mean to interrupt. You could have said you were busy.”
“Funny. Get the hell in here so I can get these off,” I grunt.
She steps inside my apartment and looks around. “Nice place.”
“Thanks. I’ll be right back.” I dart toward the bedroom. “It’s paint by the way,” I call over my shoulder before shutting the door.
Last goddamn time I go paintballing with Jameson and Liam too.
“That’s what they all say,” she yells back.
When I come out, I’m dressed in a nice pair of jeans and a polo shirt. Raylynn gives me a whistle and motions for me to spin around.
“Forget it. You’re not objectifying me.” I grin. “And that paint. Ask Jameson what happened.”
She holds up her hands and snickers. “I’ll pass, but thanks.”
“You good to walk in those?” I point to her shoes. “We’ll need to take the subway.”
“These old things?” Raylynn lifts a foot. “I could run laps in these.”
“We’re not running laps, but I’ll take your word for it.”
She reaches for my shoulders and starts massaging the muscles. “Aww, you’re tense. Are you in a mood?”
I’m tense because she’s standing in my apartment looking like a whole damn snack, and I know nothing is going to happen besides a few drinks.
“Sweetheart, the only mood I’m in is the mood to get out of this apartment for a while,” I lie.
“Well then , let’s get the fuck out of here!” she cheers. “Ooo. Wait a minute. Harley Wagner , are you wearing a gun or are you happy to see me?”
“Christ, I’m tense, and you’re in a really good mood.”
“Seriously, are you wearing your gun?” I sigh and slip my keys into my front pocket. “Yes, Raylynn. I’m packing heat.”
“Well, that I knew.”

Review: I kinda feel bad that this book didn't do it for me.

I enjoyed Raylynn and Harley's story up to a point. When they were in Hawaii with the hook up and then the discovery that they were in the same wedding party, the story was fantastic. The chemistry between the two was office the charts. I even liked the set up for Raylynn to have the one night fling, but then they went back to their regular lives and that's where the story got spoiled for me.

It took a smoking hot story and just dosed it with a bucket of water.

An ex that was cheating but just had to have her? Enough that he was trying to ruin her life? I needed more for story for this to work for me. And for what happened in the end? It felt too much like something tossed in for good measure to make sure Harley and Raylynn had some good drama to close things out. Things needed to be more fleshed out with Sawyer for this to work, at least for me and he wasn't even a character in the story for the most part. He was mostly a brief mention at the beginning and truthfully, I never expected to hear from him again.

This is probably the only book in this series of 425 Madison that I didn't really love.

With my mood dampening and all the lovebirds pairing off, I can’t think of a better excuse to get out of
here. Clapping Jake on the back, I say my goodbyes and thank the guys for letting me hang with
them tonight before taking my sullen ass back to my apartment.

It takes all of my restraint, not to check on Liv when I get back on the fifth floor. It would be so easy to
knock on her door and tell her that I’m in love with her. That I’ve loved her for a long time. In my mind,
I know it’s no use. My heart doesn’t want to listen.

I pause outside her door and touch a hand to the cold surface like it will somehow connect me to the
woman inside.

“Whoa. Dude. What are you doing?” I hear the elevator ding, and Harley’s voice startles me.

“Nothing,” I shake my head and step back.

“Yeah, nothing,” he steps up beside me and shoves me toward our apartment. “Let’s go before you do
something stupid.”

I huff. “Like telling her, I love her?”

“Jesus Christ, how much have you had to drink?” He questions.

“Not enough. That’s for sure.”

Harley opens the apartment door, ushering me inside. “I’m going to disagree with you. Drinking isn’t
going to solve anything either.”

“Harley, it was six beers. I’m hardly drunk. Just delusional.”

“You might be right, there.” He grabs two bottles of water from the fridge and tosses me one.
“When are you going to give up on her, man? Haven’t you had enough rejection?”

“Would you give up on the woman you love?”

Harley looks at me as if I’ve grown two heads. “If she treated me like shit? Pushed me away and said I made her miserable? Uh, yeah. I did; remember?”

I wince. He’s right. And I’m an asshole friend for bringing it up. “Shelia is nothing like Olivia.”

“Maybe. Maybe not. But a man has got to know when to cut his losses. Trust me.”

“It’ll be better when I finish this job and get the hell away from here. Though I feel bad leaving you without a roommate.”

Review:  Book 6 in 425 Madison already! I just adore this series! Each book is something totally different and totally unexpected.

This is a frenemiess to lovers book and oh is it a great one. Jameson is the one that seems to have more than friendly feelings first, he's always been very protective of her. I love that! Olivia keeps him at arms length, though I can't understand why.

Then things happen and suddenly they are more than friends. This is where I had a little bit of a problem with this book. Olivia and Jameson get together as a result of her father's illness and death. I shook my head, because granted I was 40 when I lost my dad, and 44 when my mom passed having sex was the last thing on my mind in the first hours of grief.

I loved Jameson the best of the two characters because he really was looking out for her. Everything he did, he did out of caring. I'm not 100% sure where Olivia's feelings came from until they finally become a couple.

I have to admit I got teary-eyed reading this, especially as its only been a few months since my mother's passing. So reading about hospice and stuff like that brings everything front and center again.

This was a quick very emotional read and a great addition to this series.
