All I Want For Christmas

My wishlist for books is a bit out of hand, but I thought that since it is the holiday season. Here are some of the books that I really want to find in my stocking or under the tree this year...most are holiday related.

I would also love to have some time to read this holiday season. So what books do you want Santa to bring you this year?

I Must Have This Book

I saw Plain Fear: Forsaken when I was looking for new reads on BOMC2 the other day. I have to say the book blurb really grabbed me, because it was such a strange mixing of genres...

Uh can you say, Paranormal Amish?

WTF!

Oh yeah, I've got to read this one. It is either going to be absolutely fab or such an atrocity that it will be worth grabbing. Sometimes some things are so bad that they are good.

I can't wait to find out where this book fits in the grand sceme of things.

Must Have Book!

I saw this book at Books-A-Million yesterday and unfortunately I didn't have enough money for it.

I fell in love with the story of Vincent Van Gogh's life after watching a Doctor Who episode based on his life.

When I saw this book, I let out my usual Squee of excitement. Now I'm trying to find that Amazon gift card I got from Coinstar so that I can get it.

Here's my first wishlist book

Title: On Strike For Christmas

Why its on my wishlist: I'm a sucker for books about the holidays. I'm an even bigger sucker for books that make me laugh and this one looks like one that will have me giggling quite a bit.

Two For My Wishlist

I was wandering through the aisles of a cute used bookstore in Berlin, OH Saturday and yesterday I was at Walmart checking out the book section and here are two books I'm definitely adding to my wishlist that is growing faster than the tail of Dicky Dragon!

This Is So Scary I Have To Wishlist It!

I'm reading a V.C. Andrews novel right now. Please don't tell anyone. I'm really ashamed of myself for picking it up, but it was given to me!!

It also got me looking at the books that were ghostwritten after Ms. Andrews passed away in 1986!! Yes, she died more than 20 years ago and this dufus is still putting out bad novels in her name.

OMGWTFBBQ!

Most of the novels that carry her name were ghostwritten. She only wrote 8.

Oye vey.

But this book is due out in Oct and it just looks so bad that I have to read it.

Unbelievable! The ghostwriter is going all vampire on us! How very interesting, and horrifying.

I feel really sorry for V.C. Andrews, that her own legacy of weird novels is being tainted by stuff like this.

I Covet This Book

I had to do some routine grocery shopping for my mom today, and as always I am drawn to the small section of books in the store. I never buy anything there, because the books are full price, and I'm cheap like that.

I didn't expect to find anything that I'd really like to buy, but I did. This new one by Karen Hawkin's looks fab!

Something about the title, Lois Lane Tells All really grabbed me, as well as that cute little pooch on the front cover. Yes, I'm a sucker for animals, dogs or cats, it makes no difference.

Then I made the mistake. I touched the book. And turned it over...and read the blurb!!

I Want This Book

I got an email from Books A Million the other day and this book stood out. Of course it did, I don't have any extra book money this month because I have way too many bills to pay and the weather has caused me to lose some work time. Curse you winter!

I've always been intrigued by books that are set during the second world war. I'm not sure why that is, except that maybe growing up with two parents that were alive at the time (My father served in the Coast Guard during the war) I've heard enough about it to really enjoy these stories.

Hopefully next month I'll be able to buy this book, but for now its on my wish list.
