suspicions with work on her shows, but her relationship with the
other glass artists begins to crack. And she can’t let love color
her judgment when Edward suddenly jumps to the top of the suspect
list. His fate is in Savannah’s hands, and she’ll do everything
she can—on land and sea—to clear his name . . .
Review: I've read 3 out of 5 of the Web Glass Shop mystery series. I really enjoy Savannah and Edward and I love how their relationship is growing in this book.
I have to admit that I was kind of sad about the victim in this book. I liked Ian from the first scenes that he was in. As things went on, I was getting antsy, because I didn't want Ian to be dead. Again, he was such a lovable character and he seemed to have a lot of trouble in his life, from his shared past with Edward, to some girls he dated that showed up on the cruise.
Savannah is working for a few week's on a cruise ship. On her way to the ship she gets to spend time with Edward's family in England. I love his mom and dad. They were absolutely great. I also got a kick out of the superstition about the broken teapot being a bearer of bad luck.
Having the mystery take place somewhere other than Savannah's home town was a nice twist. That gave the book a little different feel from the average cozy series, although a few of the "at home" characters did pop up on the ship.
Since the mystery involves Edward's cousin, we get to learn more about Edward's past as well, which was a little unsavory. I liked how that tied in with the mystery as well along with one of the other glass blowers that Savannah was working with.
The ending was wonderful and I really didn't start to figure out who was at the heart of it all until the very end. Oh and speaking of endings! Bliss!
