Must Buy Books: Jennifer Johnson Is Sick Of Being Single

Buy:Amazon
Book Blurb:A wicked comedy about the perils of making your dreams come true

Quirky, clever, cubicle-bound Jennifer Johnson is desperate.

Everyone around her is getting married, while she's still single and stuck writing ad copy about men's dress socks.

Her life hits crisis level, launching her into a humiliating and painfully hilarious quest to find Prince Charming at any cost. This includes agonizing online dates, diet-clinic cults, drag-queen fights, and a debilitating addiction to Cinnabon icing.

When she meets handsome, wealthy Brad Keller, she wonders if he's the answer to all her dreams, or is he just too good to be true? Darkly funny and outrageously honest, McElhatton's wit shines in this no-holds-barred cautionary tale about getting what you want—and how it can be the worst thing for you.

~After reading the sequel to this book this week, I really want to get this one, so I can see what possessed Jennifer to marry Brad!

Must Buy Books: Christine Wells - Wicked Little Game

Book Blurb: For years, the Marquis of Vane has hungered for Lady Sarah from afar, watching the beauty brave a disastrous marriage. Then Sarah's wastrel husband makes Vane an indecent offer—one night with Sarah for ten thousand pounds—and the temptation is almost too great. When Sarah comes to him, Vane can't resist making love to her—on his own terms. Nor can Sarah refuse a night of exquisite pleasure with the devastating man who haunts her dreams. By morning, Sarah's desire turns to shame and a deep fear of Vane's power to bind her. Desperate, she does the one thing that will stop him from claiming her as his own—leaving him shattered by her betrayal. But neither she nor Vane dreamed their passionate encounter would set the stage for murder and that a deadly twist of fate could spell a lifetime of regret—or a love to last all time.

I've been really into historical romances these past few months and I found a bookmark of this one with some other swag I got awhile back. It has received some mixed reviews, but I'm still intrigued...

Must Buy Books: Peaches For Father Francis

Blurb: The bestselling author of Chocolat and The Girl with No Shadow returns to Lansquenet in this enchanting new novel, Peaches for Father Francis (in the UK called Peaches for Monsieur le CurĂ©)
When Vianne Rocher receives a letter from beyond the grave, she has no choice but to follow the wind that blows her back to Lansquenet, the beautiful French village in which eight years ago she opened a chocolate shop and first learned the meaning of home.
But returning to one’s past can be a dangerous pursuit. Vianne, with her daughters, Anouk and Rosette, finds Lansquenet changed in unexpected ways: women veiled in black, the scent of spices and peppermint tea—and there, on the bank of the river Tannes, facing the church, a minaret. Most surprising of all, her old nemesis, Father Francis Reynaud, desperately needs her help.
Can Vianne work her magic once again?

I read Chocolat right after I saw the film, which I loved. I didn't know for ages that she had written a sequel. Now there is another book. I absolutely must have this one!

If only I hadn't spent all of my Amazon Gift Card on Dark Shadows, Diana Krall and Matchbox 20!

Ah well, maybe I'll be able to conjure up some money to get this one soon!

I know I said I'd never get sucked in to another Beverly Lewis book, but then I saw the trailer for The Bridesmaid, and I quickly changed my mind.

We all know I'm a sucker for Amish fiction of any kind!

Watch the trailer

The young Amishwoman is a closet writer whose stories aren't her only secret. Eben Troyer hopes to make Joanna his bride--if he can ever leave his parents' farm in Shipshewana, Indiana.
