bed but not tending to his heart. He’s changed his womanizing ways, and the
only woman who can fill his heart has been right by his side all this time.
Years of intimate conversations and the sharing of hopes and dreams collide when Rush reveals his secret, and one toe-curling kiss changes everything between Rush and Jayla. They’re no match for the passion that kiss ignites, or the pull of true love. But being Rush’s best friend means knowing all about his revolving bedroom door—and Jayla has a secret of her own that could jeopardize her career andher relationship with Rush. Even their love may not be enough to overcome Rush’s past or secure Jayla’s future.

Review: If you haven't read a romance by Melissa Foster...what is stopping you? This is book 13 in the Love In Bloom Series and Book 4 in the Remington's Series.
I love stories where friends turn to lovers and that's what happens here. Rush and Jayla (I love that name) have been friends for 15 years. They know everything about each other. That's probably a good reason for a romance not to happen.
Rush is what fans of regency romance would call a rake. (I like that better than womanizer...its classier). He wakes up and smells the proverbial coffee and Jayla is the woman for him.
The two of them are competitive skiers. I have to admit I loved that both were athletes. There are way too many business men in contemporary romance. Plus it is awesome to read about a woman that's an athlete as well.
The guy Jayla is with at the start of this book is a total butt wad, and that's being nice. I had a little bit of a hard time wrapping my mind around why she'd rather suffer with him before the competition then just dump his sorry butt.
I did love the conflict between her and Rush over the start of taking their relationship to a new level as well as the conflict that resulted from Jayla's injury.

As always, Melissa doesn't disappoint in creating a story that is full of turmoil (Jayla is injured, but will put her sport before her health) and emotion. I look forward to seeing these two again.
This book is part of a series, but all the books can be read as stand alone novels.
