Give Me Books Promotions Book Review: Tinfoil Heart

Title: Tinfoil Heart
Author: Daisy Prescott
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: April 24, 2018

Blurb

A new romantic comedy about love, letting go, and little green men from USA Today Bestselling author Daisy Prescott.

My father was abducted by aliens.
Or so I believed for the last eighteen years.

After my mother's death, I moved to Roswell, capital of all things alien. I’m going to find out the truth and nothing will stop me . . . except Boone Santos.

Compared to the intergalactic tinfoil hat brigade, he's a god amongst mere mortals. Too handsome for his own good (and mine), with a grumpy arrogance, and the most beautiful smile ever—he smashes my plan to pieces like a UFO crashing into the desert.

I need a tinfoil hat for my heart.

Do I believe in aliens? I’m not sure.
What do I believe? I’m not going to fall in love with Boone. Definitely not . . .

Review: Are you looking for a romance that's a little unusual and a little bit funny? If you are, Tinfoil Heart is definitely the book for you. When we learn that Lucy's mom has told her that her dad was abducted by aliens, well, that won me over.

Lucy was a fabulous mess and Boone was just not your average hero. I am always looking for romance that is different, not your typical boy meets girl type story. This book is definitely that, and that is what makes it so awesome.  Oh and can I just say that for a girl that hasn't had any book boyfriends in her 40 years of reading, I now have two of them, and Boone is definitely one of them. Boone is a quirky sort of wanna be alpha male, but not in the overbearing obnoxious kind of way you see in books that have billionaire in the title. Oh and the whole thing with the mustache, so freaking funny!!

I love the alien element, because I'm a bit of a crazy, love ancient aliens kinda girl. So a book set in Roswell just makes me so full of glee. Also, the diner where Lucy works reminds me of Mel's Diner from Alice and well, Wanda could definitely be Flo. All she needs to do is tell someone to "kiss her grits."

The pick your epilogue though was the best and seriously the most satisfying ending for me was the "Believer" epilogue.

Daisy Prescott is definitely on my must read list from now on.
