Cleopatra Unconquered by Helen R. Davis
Publication Date: December 2, 2015
Savant Books & Publications LLC
eBook &
Paperback; 328 Pages
Genre: Alternative Historical Fiction

The first book of three in a richly imagined ancient world where the course of history is altered by one battle. In this world, Antony and Cleopatra triumph at the Battle of Actium, and Cleopatra emerges as a queen, stateswoman, and politician. Those around her come to life as the reader returns to those days to live them with her.

"The first in a series, Cleopatra Unconquered by Helen R. Davis is a treat for those fascinated by Egypt and the lost glories of antiquity. The author weaves the fruits of her careful research into a fascinating combination of both the historical fiction and fantasy genres. It gives readers a look into history as it was, as well as into what might have been." - Elena Marie Vidal, author of The Paradise Tree

Review: I have a great fondness for Helen R. Davis' books. I thoroughly enjoyed Evita: My Argentina and even more Isabella Unashamed.

Cleopatra has always been a favorite historical character for me. I've had an interest in Egyptian history since high school and that even extends to watching Ancient Aliens on the History Channel. I love what ifs.

In this story its what if Cleopatra's history had changed in her favor.

This is a wonderful book for those who want a little more than just history.  I'm fast becoming a fan of alternate histories. In fact, I want to drop a hint that Mary Queen of Scots should get a book!h

This book gives you both a good retelling of Cleopatra's life, until fiction takes in.

A great read!

Thank you and delighted you liked it. As for Mary Queen of Scots, that would be interesting! Do you think, though, she would have done the same to Elizabeth I if the situations had been reversed? Also Scotland doing what England did with colonization leads for all kinds of what ifs!
