Review: I was expecting so much more from this book. Heck I expected some baking too, but Honey is an artist rather than a baker.
She's also special.
She has visions whenever she touches people. That could have made for a fantastic story, but instead, she's been hiding from the world.
And then there's Dylan. Loved him, but I couldn't figure out the attraction between the two characters.
It is hard to pinpoint why a book that should have been so great, just kinda fell flat for me, because there are a lot of pros and cons.
Pros
Honey is really sweet. You can't help but like her and admire her for dealing with all the things she has to on a daily basis.
Dylan is just the kind of white knight we all need.
All the ladies of the Cupcake Club are fun and really nice and helpful.
Gotta love Lolly the dog!

No reason for the attraction between Honey and Dylan
Sometimes everyone seems TOO nice
Even though Honey has problems there's no conflict, everything seems to work out too easily.
So this book was a mixed bag for me and the romance just wasn't what I was expecting either. Plus with such a unique "gift" I thought that her visions could have been played up more to make the book a little more exciting or funny. (I would have taken either)
Certainly not a bad book, but one that is just OK. I do still want to check out the other books in the series because I'd like to see if the books that involve the Babycakes characters are more fun.
