Hiding From Reviews

I have to say that right now I'm really skimming through my google friend list quite a bit, because there are some reviews I'm not ready to read, one is Mockingjay (because I haven't read the series yet, and that would be a big spoil) and the other is The Replacement.

When I see the reviews pop up, I just scroll away.

I don't know why, reading reviews on some books I haven't read, doesn't bother me, but other books that I am really waiting for, it makes me crazy! It doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I mean, why is it that it is perfectly acceptable to want to know if a book is great or not before I read, both others it is a crime punishable by death or at least flogging with a wet noodle?

What books do you want to know nothing about before you read them?

I'm the same way! I've been skipping out on all Mockingjay reviews. I don't want to know ANYTHING before I read the book :)

There are quite a few books I'm like that about. Just received Nightshade in the mail today... so I'm skipping all those reviews too for now!

I learned my lesson about this with Twice Bitten by Chloe Neill. Could not WAIT to read it and knowing I shouldn't, I still went ahead and read reviews. :( Went in expecting to be disappointed. I LOVED the book and all I could think was what if I hadn't read it. I'm a little more leery now

If a book like Mockingjay or something I am anticipating to be good anyway is coming out, I won't read reviews. But if its a book I have never heard of or I'm not really excited about it or anything, I will read it. I just finished Mockingjay and I wouldn't even get online for the two days while I read it...well I did check my email lol. I totally understand! Have a great day :)
