Along with providing all of the book bloggers with a great way to meet up and find new reads, she has a get to know you question. Here's this week's question:
"If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?"
I know most of you are going to pull back and cringe when I say, I've started a lot of series with a random book. With the Lady Julia Grey Mysteries, I've read book 2 and 4.
I started the Stephanie Plum books out of order, however I only read one book out of order. I think I might have read book 3 and then started from the beginning.
Granted most of the series I read, I have read in order, but yes, I have read things out of order, or way out of order.

I couldn't do that- I need to start from the start, even if I've received number 22 in the series!
Saying that, I did read Sweet Valley High long ago out of order!
Hi Thanks for stopping by. I so happy to find someone else that doesn't need to start a series at the beginning. New Follower.
Hi there,
I always start at number one - otherwise I tend to get confused :-)
I can't read a series out of order, it would probably bug me until I caved and went out to get the first book. Does the book still make sense if you read out of order?
Have a great weekend!
Daisy: Books like the Evanovich series can be read out of order. I don't usually set out to read a series that way, but if a book falls into my lap and I start it, I'm not putting it down while I scramble to read the other books.
I've read one of the Stephanie Bond mysteries because I found it for a quarter somewhere..it was book 4 out of 6...For the most part I've found that in series like this the author gives you enough back story so that you aren't totally confused if you haven't read any of the previous books.
Just hopping by to say have a great week!
