It's Monday! What Are You Reading

From Sheila

This is a great weekly event where everyone can keep track of the books finished last week & the books planning to read this week!

What I read last week

Catherine Coulter - The Generous Earl (Review to follow)
Mary Aris - Princess Rose (ebook short story)
Laurie Grant - My Lady Midnight (Historical)
R.L. Stine - The Third Horror (YA horror)
Marion Chesney - Rake's Progress (Regency)

What I'm currently reading

Tanith Lee - Darkness I : I'm so embarrassed that I'm still reading this book. Its not a bad book, but I simply can't get into it. It is like Anne Rice's Queen Of The Damned for me. That was the only book she wrote that I couldn't finish and still haven't, though I haven't tried in ages. I will keep plugging away at this one, because I really hate to leave books unread. Hence my current problem with the ancient romances from my basement.
Leslie Hatcher - Magic At Sunset: This is an old Tiara Romance. I had never even heard of that line until I found the book in a box in my basement.

What I plan to read this week

I'm going to be honest with you, I'm not sure what I'm going to be reading, but here are some of the titles from that box of books. Some of them have tags on them from Hills Department Store! Anyone remember those stores? Oh and the prices? $1.56! GAH! Most of my Harlequins are $4 and up!!!

Marray Kalis - Love In Paris
Sally James - A Clandestine Affair
Violet Winspear - The Unwilling Bride (An ancient Harlequin Presents)
Carla Cassidy - Swamp Secrets (A Silhouette Shadows..I think I liked this paranormal line better than the new Nocturne line)

Wow! Interesting books. Why do you have boxes of old romances in the basement? It is fun sometimes to haul out the old ones. Happy reading!

Kathy: My mom had them stored away done there, and I was working at getting rid of some things so we'd have more room and I found them. Now I have to read them before I decide if I want to donate them to Goodwill or pass them along to friends.

My mother's been laughing at me for reading them, especially since they are so old and very dated.

I bet it is very interesting reading older romances. I have a few laying around - I should get them out and try them. Have a great reading week.
